The Prime 8 is a medium efficiency pleated air filter, created to provide high efficiency, high dust holding capacity and low pressure drop.The Prime 8 is available in standard capacity as well as high capacity(Prime8HC). As an extended-surface air filter, the Prime8, performs at superior levels in comparison to standard pleated filters. The Prime 8 has a MERV 8A rating per ASHRAE Test Standards 52.2 Appendix J-2017. It is also UL 900 Classified. The Prime 8 ‘s rating of MERV 8A makes it the perfect upgrade fromour Select Series panel filters as well as standard MERV 6 and MERV 7 pleated filters.The Prime 8 has a durable, moisture-resistant, beverage board frame with wire-supported media. The Prime 8 ‘s media is a mechanical blend of synthetic fibers that is designed for use specifically in extended surface pleated filters.
